Welcome to our little corner of handmade magic. Hippo House is a small jewelery studio based in Quebec, Canada and built on creativity, emotion, and meaning.

This shop was born from my love for art. As a psychology graduate student, I have spent years studying emotions and the inner worlds we carry. But I have always turned to art when words fall short. Creating art became my way to speak quiet joy, comfort, and meaning through colours, shapes, and textures.

Each piece in the shop is handmade with intention and care, not just to be pretty, but to carry meaning.  A small reminder of softness, strength, or simply the joy of expressing yourself.

You might be wondering — why hippo?

In many ways, it is my spirit animal. Hippos are often misunderstood. They appear calm and cute, but they are also fiercely strong, deeply grounded, and capable of moving through two worlds: water and land. That balance reminds me so much of the inner lives we all carry: the emotional world and the everyday one, and the strength it takes to move between them.

That is the balance I try to bring into my jewelry: pieces that feel soft and gentle, but are also bold and expressive, because you are allowed to be both. 

So yes, it is playful. But it is also deeply personal.
